Aquaphonics - Funk, Electronica, Jazz, Rock, Jam
Stuart, FL
Aquaphonics is: Jessiah Weston, Alan Martinke, Steve Elmore
Aquaphonics is its own sound. Described as "a well stewed brew of jazz, funk,
and electronica; with a dash of 'indie-dance-pop', and just the right amount of
soul," the sound is saturated and flowing; holding to its namesake. Unique yet
not unfamiliar, this high-energy, dance-party cocktail goes down smooth every time.
Aquaphonics has boasted several different members, and has worn several
different skins, yet to this day retains its original, liquid, "Aquaphonics
Sound." It also is still comprised of founding members Jessiah Weston; the
drumming powerhouse, and Alan Martinke; renowned piano/keyboardist, who have
been melding their music since 2000.
That sound shifted subtley and Aquaphonics re-emerged on the public scene in
2009 after addition of unique and dynamic guitarist Steve Elmore. Aquaphonics is ready to soar to new heights with their all new
jazz-electro-soul inspired song writing, and they are well on their way.
They have recently been spotted
at a Phish after-party and sharing the stage with acts like The New Mastersounds
and Perpetual Groove, including a cameo with Brock Butler and Adam Perry, coined
"Perpetual Phonics," and were an exciting newcomer at the highly anticipated
Bear Creek Music and Arts Festival. And now 2011 is to be an exciting year
for this emerging South Florida talent.
